Located outside Urbanna, Virginia near the pristine Dragon Run the paddlers paradise! Built in 1913, this 5500sf Greek revival farmhouse is surrounded by large trees and situated on 5.6 acres. The proximity to a major north-south highway offers unlimited flexibility. The first floor has two large parlors with fireplaces. Also, there are a large dining room and a guest room with private bath, both of which have fireplaces. Additionally, there is a modern, commercial kitchen, a pantry and another bathroom. The second level has 4 guest rooms, each with a private bath, and one of which is a two-room suite. The third level is given over entirely to owners quarters. Here you have two small bedrooms, a full bath, a large living room with a kitchenette, and lots of closet/storage space. There is also a full basement housing a laundry, a workroom, a utility area and an abundance of storage space. The grounds of Dragon Run Inn are well maintained and graced by large trees and attractive flowerbeds. There is a garage and another outbuilding. The first floor of the main house has central air conditioning and the entire house is serviced by a sprinkler system. The unique character of the Dragon Run wilderness and its awesome natural beauty exist primarily because of its remoteness. Several highway bridges cross its 35-mile run to the Piankatank River, and it is thought to be the most pristine water body in Virginia Most access points are, however, only reached by way of nearly a mile trek over rugged backcountry.
